Having first met Lilian whilst working for the Life Skills Dept at The Institute, NW11 Lilian quickly became a friend as well as a colleague. I will always remember how proud she was of her two boys who we often checked by phone to make sure they had safely come home from school and were waiting for their hard working mum to finish with our learners and come home.

Her laugh made light of the many difficult situations that arose at work and once I had moved to North Essex Lilian would be a friendly face at the Free Church where I returned to my roots.

Sadly missed, the light has gone. RIP Lilian I will miss you x Cathy Brooks
